The first Muslim woman pilot from Kashmir!
If you are determined and passionate, you can always give wings to your dreams. The first Kashmiri Muslim woman to become a pilot, Iram Habib, is the quintessential example of this. Though thwarted by her relatives, pestered by the society, she walked undeterred towards her dreams and today she is flying, literally.
It took her 6 years of convincing her parents, a bachelor and a post bachelor’s degree in another subject, almost two years of pursuing a PhD degree and sacrifices aplenty to achieve her aspiration. She will join GoAir next month.
